My name is Jim deVerteuil. I have traveled to over 30 countries both with the military and as a tourist. I had 2 big trips within a year, so I decided to keep my family and friends updated on Facebook. The updates were so well received that many friends suggested I do a travel blog. Great idea, except I am over 60 years old and didn’t know anything about blogs. I certainly didn’t know how to start or maintain a blog. Luckily, I have a friend that is younger and smarter.  Enjoy my joint venture into the world of travel blogging. I hope you enjoy it and follow my travels.
